Course: Heron Lakes Golf Course (Great Blue)
Hole: #16
Yardage: 356 yards
The 16th Hole at Heron Lakes' Great Blue course is a very interesting hole,
with a variety of ways to play it. Depending on where you tee it up (yardage is listed from the blues), you have the option of laying up before the water,
or trying to go over it. Be warned, you need to carry about 250 yeards if
you try to clear the water. Most players should choose to lay up. If you do, you will be left with 130-175 yards to the pin with alot of hazards to
contend with. With water in front and to the right and sand to the left, accuracy is key on your approach. You can keep it left of the green, and on the fairway to minimize your risk, just know you are playing for par. Once you make it to the green, you have to contend with one of the most difficult greens on the entire course. The right side falls away to the water, the left
side falls away to the bunkers, and the front side dives back to the fairway. Good luck on this Par 4, as a birdie is no easy task.
